The Boys Brigade is the world's first and oldest uniformed-youth organisation! Its programme has mentored thousands of young people through its time-proven model of leadership training and skills-based development. BB emphasises the educational, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of personal development. It is recognised as co-curricular activity in primary and secondary school by the Ministry of Education and is associated by the Malaysian Youth Council.

The Advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.
History
The Boys' Brigade was founded on 4th October 1883 by Scotsman Sir William Alexander Smith at the Free Church Mission Hall, North Woodside Road in Glasgow, Scotland. He started the BB due to a need to introduced discipline into the lives of his unruly Sunday school Boys using his experience in the 1st Lanark Rifle Volunteers. The programme then expanded to include a healthy set of activities to not only capture the interest of the Boys, but also to challenge them and develop their abilities over time. The BB inspired many other uniformed-yourh organisations from the Girls' Brigade to the Boy Scout.
